About 2 months ago i was robbed while i was working away..
Id been drinking and i was in unfamiliar territory, staying in a premier inn place,
Anyway, id been out on the drink after a tough days graft.. i drank a bit too much and my memory went hazy..
I vaguely remembered being by the side of the road in the rain, and also remember being in the back of a car, talking to a woman in the passenger side.
Next thing i know, I wake up at 9am in my premier inn room. My head is absolutely killing me, i think "Christ, this is bad for a hangover" and i walk over to the mirror feeling a bit sick and dazed.
I look at myself and ive got a big black eye, and i have dry blood from my right ear, right down my neck and over my shoulder. All dried up over my top.
The sight may have knocked me a bit sick, and i threw up in the toilet.. my sick was full of blood.
After vomiting about 3 times i had to get myself an ambulance cos i was in no state to drive.
So i gets the receptionist to call me an ambulance as i had no mobile, and no wallet.
After being scanned in hospital it was found i had 3 fractures in my skull and was a bit concussed.
I spoke to the police in the hospital and i said i vaguely recalled being driven back to my room.. i was sure it was police.
They said they will look into it as "someone was picked up last night, but we dont know where he was dropped off"
I thought this was a bit of a joke.
Anyway, after a bit of research and my phonecalls to the premier inn, the night watchman and the cctv confirmed that police had dropped me off at my room, with a fractured skull and obvious bleeding.
This is negligence im sure.
I admit i was drunk, but im not normally agressive towards police or anything. So i dont think i deserved to just be dropped off with injuries.
The following morning my girlfriend had got a phonecall from my phone too, it was "irish sounding" people laughing at the fact i got kicked to crap. Which upset her as she hadnt had word from me prior to this point.
Its been a good 8 weeks, but do you think i should pursue something that has been bugging me in court?
