Firefox 3.0 Download Day (Guinness World Record)

Biased opinions aside, is it worth me switching over to Firefox?

I hate adverts and pop up windows so Firefox sounds ideal in that respect (whats the best adblocker?), but to me it sounds like you need a shed load of add-on's to get it to be any good?

Plus is it still a memory hog like it used to be?

Just installed it, and besides an incompatable extension (Which I'll see if I can replace if I can actually access the addons site ¬_¬) though I have a couple of niggles regarding my scrollwheel. Firstly, I used to be able to use it to scroll through the tabs, which was very quick and easy to change them rather than clicking on the individual one or ctrl+tabbing to them. Especially when you have too many tabs that you have to scroll to see them.
Secondly, if I hit the scroll wheel in the middle of the page, it doesn't do that thing where you can just move the mouse down or up and it smoothly scrolls the page as well. I doubt the missing extension (All in one mouse gestures) would have done both of these, would it?

Autoscroll and using the mouse wheel to scroll through the tab list are there by default, unless you have some extension breaking them.
 
Just got it after an hour of refreshing their page :p

Have to say I'm very impressed with it so far. Love the news features especially the highlight and drag, it even works dragging onto other applications which is neat. Its noticably faster on web pages :)

Well FF3 is great so far...Facebook does not load, and neither does uTorrent's webui when I try to log onto it from main PC to 2nd machine.

FF3 looks good, I'll give it that...but that, so far, is all the praise it gets from me.

Facebook's their own problem - it is (or was) broken in Fx2 as well. Switching your UA to appear as IE makes it work...
 
Seems FB is just borked for me at the moment, doesn't bother me, was just clicking all my bookmarks. :)

Don't get why that doesn't work, works fine in IE7 and Opera, only thing it's never worked on is Opera on my PDA, so FF3 not running the JS is rather annoying, ah well, it'll get fixed..and I can just change inputs on my monitor to check it properly anyway. :p
