Wheelbase and track = instant stability.
Then add big feet, a big engine, 4wd, windows vista 64 nurburgring edition a bios flash and a driver update and suddenly you're beating Porsches.
But will it overclock?

The R34 is smaller than an E39. The R35 is as well apart from width. It's a trick of the eye.

Perhaps I should have explained it better. The R34 and R35 are large cars for what they are, I was simply trying to give an idea of the actual size of the Nissans. I chose an E39 as a comparison as it's a "large" car in the publics perception, but not really a massive looking car in the metal is it? I also chose something (again, for context) that people are very familiar with in day-to-day driving...and seeing the E39's fairly normal dimensions. At a guess, I would think you would see far more E39's than R34's in any given day so I was trying to give a general idea of just how stupidly huge the R35 juggernaut is (or actually not). You'll have noticed how many people *think*a 5 series is huge and thus must get a Smart car for parking reasons instead.
Edit: Perhaps comparing a 90's designed 2 seater, RWD mid-engined NSX with virtually no luggage space to an AWD front engined 2+2 '08 GT-R with a decent boot is more of a "shocker". I don't know, maybe it's just me. Don't get me wrong, the NSX is fantastic and iconic but the comparison pretty much ends with the first supercar out of Japan to todays latest. The reason of the size difference is pretty obvious.

Regarding the above, it's along the same reason I posted the two dockside pictures of the R34 and R35. The difference is not quite so huge with a different angle compared to Simon's picture, and then put that size difference into perspective.

As far as the matt black wrap goes, seems the owner paid around £850. It's obviously completely reversible and I personally think it would look interesting with Mine's dry CF front and rear spoiler. Very, very tempting. Ready for the bill Booner?

(Although Simon got the tape measure right)It comes in three flavours at the moment (No V-Spec yet):
The GT-R base model
The GT-R Premium Edition (this adds 11 speaker Bose audio, rain sensing wipers and auto headlamps)
The GT-R Black Edition (same as Premium but an extra colour -Kuro Black-, smoked alloys, black and red trim leather, black alcantara headlining and a few small options I have forgotten)
Options are thin on the ground. The JDM has rear parking cameras which Middlehursts will retro-fit if wanted. Sat Nav is available but would have put my order back by some time and Middlehursts are fitting their own anyway.
Current prices are £54,800 for the base model, £56,100 for the Premium and £57,400 for the Black edition. I say "current" because when I ordered, the Black edition was £55,500 and thats what I have listed on my order form and will be paying.
Definately. There isn't much difference between the different spec's either which is a bit odd. What does the V-Spec edition traditionally mean?
