GeForce Release 177.35 WHQL

new ATi cards will have stupid amounts of shading power they should be good to fold with. Keep an eye out for those.

Hopefully that will be true for the 4850's, i've almost promised my friend that my GTS is his, he will pay roughly what a 4850 will set me back, so i hope i'm making a good gamble here.

Just ditched these after clicking "favourites" in Firefox 3, the screen died leaving my audio playing in the background, hardly a taxing activity for a GPU! Basically the screen went off, audio playing, keyboard and mouse useless (all leds gone out) even pressing power does not initiate a shut down. Have to reset or press and hold power to reboot. Had similar with the other 177.xx driver as well. I really dont know why I bother really. I should stick to the proper releases.

I take it you don't have a GT200 Snake?

These drivers are only really 'officially' recommended for the new GPU's

Indeed, 8800 gts. Used modded inf file. I often play with driver installs, not really sure why as 175.16 works very well. I just cant help but tinker (usually until a brake something and spend the evening fixing it!)

Well in that chart it shows Q6600 outdoing PS3?

I only know about the link I posted as new weeks ago (above).

Before that I would have said the PS3 Cell (CPU) was king and ATI (GPU) were next and Nvidia (GPU) did not fold period.

I know you could always fold on a PC's CPU but I still thought the PS3's Cell and ATI GPU's beat them.

TBH I don't fold and never will, it does not interest me.

When my father died we (family+friends) gave £5000 towards the 3 new Dialysis Machines that were just given to the Hospital on trial the last week he lived (he was 1st to use one).

Thats my contribution to cancer for a while.
