Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots *Snaaaaake! Edition*

oh my god you're in for a mind****.

I love hearing reactions to the story from people who are new to Metal Gear.

A friend of mine claims Snake Eater to be one of his favourite games ever, yet up until i told him yesterday he had no idea he was playing as Big Boss. (He's never played 1 or 2)

haha, i spent half of mgs: portable ops not knowing that lol

Im at the start of act 3 and ive clocked in 8 hours, im not sure how many acts there are but if it takes about 20-30 hours to finish there must be a lot of acts.

There are 5 acts, if you are playing through that quickly i have to wonder what bits and areas you have missed out on.

Not enless you wanna remove uncompressed audio, lower texture res, limit gameplay, and shorten the cut scenes. Suppose the 360 could handle it then though.

given the structure of the game i.e: mission - mission briefing - mission.

Its an easy game to break up in terms of disc. MGS4 could easily fit on 4 discs, convenient? perhaps not but theres no reason to think it can't/wont be done.

Money talks people, money.

it would feel a little lost on the 360 anyway, its a game that has so many connections to earlier mgs games and with the storyline playing such a huge role in the game. It's a game clearly made for the fans

It could be multi disc, but would be a pain.

As for money talks, this game is shifting by the shedload at the moment and it is exclusive. It is probably giving the PS3 a decent sales bump too, and Sony will have thrown a few quid either Konami's or Kojima Productions way.
I don't think the 360 will be getting MGS4, at least not for a couple of years tbh.

Oblivion + Expansion on one DVD. If Oblivion can do it... any game can. I personally don't think there would be any technical issues with porting the game.
