I enjoyed the story, it was the best part of the game. The game I thought was rather average but the story and it's progression was great in my opinion.
The darkness is a crap game, I gave it another crack a couple of weeks ago after being told it actually DID have an exploding helicopter in it, which in my exact words would , (and i hold my hands up), "make it a decent game".
Well, i was wrong, it does have a helicopter in it, but its still gonads.

We need a rule on these forums that say if a game is older than 3 months your allowed to post spoilers.
Anyone who really cares about the game and the story will have played it by then.
I agree, they should have made him 25-26, I thought that at the time.
I've completed it twice now and I might play it again, just borrowed it off my mate.
If only it had a better Multiplayer.

I try and decide depending on what the topic is about. That does sound like a good rule though.
A lot of people still play past games, a lot still haven't even gotten one of these new consoles let alone had a chance to play it in 3 months.
Personally I don't think major plotpoints outside of the start of a game or spoilers should EVER be posted. It's not hard to not post them, thankfully we've started having 'spoilers' threads.
Edit: Or simply add tags.
Oh Spoilers should always be posted with Spoiler tags.
The ones on neogaf are great the way they work.

Every time I see a thread about this game I want to play it through from start to finish I love it so much. I think if I sat down with a group of talented programmers and made them create a game specifically for me the end result wouldn't be too far away from 'The Darkness'.
**POSSIBLE SPOILER BELOW BUT NOTHING MAJOR AS IT HAPPENS IN THE 1ST 5 MINS**
My only pet peeve with it - and I'd be interested in hearing the thoughts of others on this (who like the game) - is this : - near the begining, when Jackie 1st gets the darkness powers, there seems to be no surprise on his part that he suddenly has some huge freaking snake like monsters erupting out of his shoulders, not to mention a voice sounding like Beelzebub himself screaming in his head.. He just goes about his business killing the bad guys with them, then off to see his chick. I dunno, I'd of expected some sort of cut scene at this point with Jackies reaction to whats going on....

That happens because its a badly designed game.
You're very much in the minority who thinks that.
You know, people who read you in consoles and sports arena would think you're a right miser.
