I've also read that the 360's were higher in both sales and attach rates than the PS3. Unless you are talking about a single region.
It depends, I read somewhere that Microsoft like to count Live Arcade games in order to make it appear better than it is.
They usually also stick to NPD figures since it gets embarrassing anywhere else.
I did mention it was EU/Others in my post, and the thread is about EU numbers so i assumed thats what people was talking about.

They are games that sell for money, so thats a reasonable inclusion, just because they are cheap games makes no difference. You can still go into ASDA and pick up PS2 games for a fiver which are included into the sales figures, so why not LA games that cost the same, it's all money in the bank really.
According to Wikipedia (dubious i know but easy to find):
attachment rate - 6/7 titles per user
total LA games downloaded - over 45 million
percentage demos into sales - 18% = 8.1m
average game 800 MS points = 6.80p
8.1m x 6.80p = £55m
My maths are probably way out and could be argued to death but you get the gist of it

I love how it's always the same people posting these kinds of threads.
However, the PS3 does deserve to sell more, it's a better machine, although its exclusives list isn't great yet, it now has a lot of multi-format games.

How many more exclusives has the 360 had this year compared to the PS3?
Lost Odyssey and Ninja Gaiden II are the ones that spring to mind.
To be fair it's been a quiet early 08 for both consoles. Mutually exclusive currently exclusive 08 released titles are: Lost Odyssey, Ninja Gaiden II, Rock Band, Bully, Beautiful Katamari and Alone in the Dark from Friday vs MGS4, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Haze. Not counting PSN or XBLA titles.
I'm not on about this year, I'm on about total.
The Playstation 3 has more than two exclusives, sure, but it only really has three worth really writing home about (I forgot about Gran Turismo 5 Prologue as some people love it).
Then again, there is Katamari and Rock Band off the top of my head.
