When the bloody hell are these things on sale?!
Im awaiting these to get in stock so i can build me rig...
Ati keeps talking to me in my head though... it says "check out my new cards in crossfire benchmarks... i shallt be probally cheaper".
OCuk should i listen? Never liked the idea of dual graphics cards.. good idea in theory but you lose some GPU power along the way. Plus dual cards just sounds so... messy.

I had a 700Mhz 8800GT Zotac and it was no problem. I only bought it cause it was cheaper and in stock than everybody elses gt at the time.
Ahh wicked, i take it they are reliable then. Cheers for the input mate. It seems liek you are all saying i shouldnt listen to the Ati gremlins.. this pleases me i take forever to make decisions on builds and that would confuse the qwerttty :).

Personally unless you mst buy today I would still wait a week. First 3dmark06 benchmark shows the 4870 only been 83% of a GTX280 which puts it exactly where a GTX260 is.

Okay, games will be the crunch but it's looking like it may be a close thing on performance and price (4870 expected to be £200-£230).

But if you must buy one today, I would buy the Zotac GTX260 (hopefully that will come pre-overclocked anyway).

Nah cheapest i could find was 270 with vat, but it was made by someone called zotac.. who on earth are zotac?

I've got a ZOTAC 8800GTS AMP Edition bought from OcUK for £119. Factory overclocked and great value..... another £400 and I could have bought a GTX280...NOT !!!
