Anyone know anything at all about this ?
Screen used ?
Suffer from anything particular ? I seem to recall the Ben-Q 24 suffering from bad dithering ?

Still this screen looks superb...Baddass, if your about, what do you know ?:)

Hi ademcg, the FP241WV is very similar to the FP241W which is more common, and you'll find plenty of info and reviews around for that one. Being AMVA based, the FP241WV shouldnt suffer from any dithering issues since it's not using that technology. The V model also features "PerfectMotion" / BFI technology which is a plus point. It's basically the same as the FP241WZ as well, which is reviewed here:

Hi there

Out of all the monitors sell this is the definetely the most flash one on the desk, it looks like its worth seriously money. Thankfully its not just looks as like Badass says its essentially the same as the FP241WZ which is an absolutely superb monitor.

The only better monitors for image quality are the LED backlit ones and the true photography ones but the image quality from these BenQ is on par with the other S-IPS/AMVA panels it just looks a whole lot better and has very fast response time making it ideal for gamers.

Another plus point is OcUK is nearly £200 cheaper than our competitors on this monitor.:)

ah, yes it wasn't the dithering my bad, it was issues with the BFI being faulty and inserting blank / black frames inconsistently ? just from memory, I think it was an issue on the FP241WZ
It does look amazing, although I would demand perfection for almost £500, no backlight bleed or dead pixels !
I will do some reading :)

Ive had the FP241VW for about 3 weeks now, bought from OCUK. It is simply a fantastic monitor - I do a fairly even split between FPS gaming and general browsing/photo work and the screen covers it all with ease. No dead pixels, no bleed, no problems at all. The gaming modes look very dark at first but the functionality is good and its worth spending the few minutes that it takes to adjust to it.

Aesthetically you wont find another screen to match it - it really is in a class of its own and so stylish that I dont think it will even date. I took mine to a lan last weekend and it was so impressive that one of my friends ordered the same from OCUK immediately :)

It is a lot of money, at this price its more like an investment, but I can confirm that its a LOT of monitor!

Had this monitor for a few days guys, and gibbo is correct. This is a beautiful monitor!

Great screen display, sharp image!

Never seen ouwt like it!

Cheers Gibbo, ordered this with 2 HDD's late Tuesday afternoon, and they arrived 720am Wednesday!

Excellent.

for a monitor which has been on the market for a substantial period of time i think the price is a bit much. i wouldn't hesitate to spend over 400 quid on a Dell 2408 but not this one...

Am running the Z myself - it is a lovely monitor.

Both the VW & Z models just seem a little overpriced.

Did look at the VW model but looked and still does look to me a little ...'tacky' BUT each to their own

I found that the FP241W monitor is excellent value and has had excellent reviews. The one plus point for me was the stand adjustment. I also calibrate it with Spyder2 software.

And the Hazro's got an S-IPS panel which is considered to be the best for viewing angles and colour accuracy (no black crush or gamma shift on the horizontal plane). There's a reason Apple Cinema Displays (and other pro monitors) use S-IPS.

S-IPS panels = shocking input lag apparently.
