Anyone here passed their test with 0 minors?

I had 1 minor on my bike test and 3 on my car test. There seems to be more ways to get a minor for the car and more ways to get a major on the bike.

i had 1 minor. instructor said the test guy must have been high:p

brother got 0 minors and 1 major but i dont think that counts...

Passed my theory first time with 32/35, was pleased considering I didn't have the book to learn from until the night before! I passed the practical first time as well with ~8 minors if I remember correctly.

Never known anyone to pass with 0 minors, well done that person although I think it was mainly down to the examiner they had.

Test at 3pm got the book at 2;45 from town. 34/35 got some stupid one about signaling wrong something about shaking your arm to turn left...

I had 1 minor and that was for a point my instructor said i shouldnt have got anyway, just to make sure i didnt get a clean pass

Apparantly, i went slightly too wide on the reverse around the corner when i didnt even have to go back in. Ah well!

In my day you turned up, having had 3 whiskeys for your nerves, read a number plate you already knew and then dropped 20 quid to the instructor and he gave you a licence, which was made from green paper!

The only Minor I knew of was a Morris, this new fangled stuff has lost me!

I passed with no majors, does that count?

I passed with 3 minors first time, and I thought that was pretty good going!

I got told by a few instructors that the safest way to pass was to be female and heavily pregnant.... :p

I got 7 minors on my 2nd test when I passed but I was a bag of nerves. The examiner did me a lot for undue hesitation which I thought was unfair, I was erring on the side of caution IMO and no way should I have been expected to burn through the gaps he marked me down on.

Never heard of anyone ever passing without at least a few minors, dont even know anyone whose had less than 3 or 4. Test centres seem to be very strict over here. My instructor was an examiner previously, before he retired. He told me that they would try to give people a few minors just so it looks as if they are doing their job properly because "no ones perfect, especially at this level".

On the otherhand i've also been told that examiners have been removed from the examining rotation for a while because they fail too many people... the same woman failed my friend 4 times before someone else passed him! His instructor didnt know why he was failing then lo and behold she was put on probation or something.

I failed my first test because i didnt leave enough room to pull out around a bus which I thought was stopped at traffic lights but it was a home help bus and people started getting on and off. He said i should have left room to go round it, couldn't have done that either because of the traffic island in the middle of the road that your not supposed to go around, and why would you at a signalised junction. But he was clearly mortally hungover and stank of alcohol... it was monday morning and must've been on the electric soup all sunday.

Second time out i think i had 5 minors.

Definitely, would've been so easy to stall it during a test with the nerves pepped up and all, even though you know that those gaps are safe enough to drive out into now.

I got 3 on my first time. One observation on a left reverse,1 on a turn in the road same thing and another which i can't remember. He then went on about he didn't think i was looking to my right on roundabouts.......so i said well surely i would have crashed.....he gave me a blank look. I was very good at driving in general as i had been driving for about 6 months, maybe i came across as cocky.

2 minors here first test. One was for stalling the engine which is fair cop although pretty embarrassing. Second was for not pulling up in the right position at some lights or something, seems like BS to me, I was a metre or so short of the line and central in the lane.

Shouldn't get anything for that, unless you make a complete hash of restarting etc.

Due to nerves I stalled 3 times on my test, none of those were minors, because I just restarted, and got on with it.

I passed first time with my high minors, with the strictest tester our town has. :)

It all depends on the examiner and if they're in a good mood or not tbh. Also the traffic conditions at the time etc.

Passed on my second attempt with a few minors, totally messed up my first try.

I'm not sure about that. I followed the procedure by the book, handbrake on, ignition off, check neutral, restart, clutch, first, mirrors, blind spot, drive off. I got marked down on 'Move off - Control' under section 13. The other one was section 25 'Position/normal stops'.
