So goddamn slow? Been dloading the haze demo for about 5 hours here now. 77% done from about 5pm. Using a wired intenet connection on virgin media 20mb

Your not the first on Virgin Media to have had problems, have a search on here mate you might find the answer.

im not sure if its just my area, but im on virgin and i definitely get capped speeds during peak time which i reckon is round about 4-10pm

I'm with Virgin. Have you been capped? I don't have any download problems at all with PSN.

I too am with virgin and always get capped if i download demo's aroubd the 5pm time. I now tend to try and get my downloads in the morning when i can.

Im with Sky BB and its pretty quick, never had any problems at all since switching from TalkTalk (load of rubbish) to Sky.

Its just virgin i'm afraid, i've got a 20mbit connection here but a friend just round the corner from me is still able to download stuff faster than me despite only being on a 4mbit be package.

Don't virgin allow something like 1gb download through peak hours, followed by throttling once you've hit it. And then allow normal speed offpeak.

I use virgin and my pc can download at around 2400kb/s but on the PSN it takes hours to download a 100MB file, the same file can be had in less than 1 min on XBL

I have no problems with the PSN but i am on Be* and not Virgin.

My brother is on Virgin, and he has no problems with PSN when downloading in offpeak hours.

I used to have 2 BB connections one on virgin (20meg) and a Sky one (upto 4meg) The Virgin one was hard wired the sky wifi, i could download updates, PSN stuff at least twice as fast on sky compared to my supposed 20meg Virgin cable. Im pretty sure somewhere along the way the virgin routers/network have an issue with the PSN store, i always though it was down to being shaped.

No problems here on Virgin 20MB, downloads wirelessly at around 1.5MB/sec which is about right for a non-wired connection.

yep VM here, 20meg, PSN is very slow for me yet PC and Xbox Live have no issue's with

Mine used to be slow on Virgin, but now it's fine. I complained about the slow speeds on here a while ago, took me 6 hours to download Tekken: DR.

Virgin 20meg here, PC & 360 are fine, but PSN is crap, deffo a Virgin problem
