Who thinks the prices of 8800range is going to lower in light of the release of the new ati cards?

The 9800GTX will go to 200$, a new one will be introduced at 230$ and i guess the other ones will be pushed down.

I expect they will just be replaced by the 9xxx series.

Yeah can see them dropping a bit, once the new ati cards are out.

Tempted to upgrade my system if the prices are good enough.

The 8xxx series will be completely phased out, but stock will be hard to shift at the lower end.

You can't be sure about that, if the 8800GT and GTS in their new incarnations with pretty 9xxx numbers are cheap enough, OEMs will get a ton of them.
