orange box - selling it will it work for someone else?

if its registered to your account i think it may be. (or at least thats how it was) and the selling of accounts is "frowned upon". however this recent system of being able to give games to people by selecting which game and then which email address/steam account - i dont know how this works so have to research it.
 
Should be able to change the email address. I bought HL2 from a colleague's brother, and although I can't change the username he chose, I've changed the email address from his to mine. I guess the Orange Box will be the same.
 
you are non supposed to sell accounts, valve do not like it.

you will also have to give them your steam login details as the key is useless now, it is permenantly tied to your account.

Not just "don't like it" - it's against the Subscriber Agreement (http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=subscriber_agreement):
You may not sell or charge others for the right to use your Account, or otherwise transfer your Account.

Looks like there is a risk that the account might get permanently disabled if they find out - not sure how good they are at spotting people though: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=5406-WFZC-5519

Essentially, it looks like a definite "no" for this one, at least if you are following the letter of the law...
 
someone on here gave me their steam account for CS:S then it stopped working, i thought maybe the guy that gave it too me changed his mind and went back in changed the passwords etc, as I left it the same. But I messaged him and said no it should still be working, so he sorted it out again, but after a few weeks it stopped working again, for good this time. Guess valve realised and shut it down:(
