Anyone aware if there's super cheap broadband available (on a BT line)?

It's just for my mum to do email/browsing...

If she has Sky you can get free broadband.
She hasn't, but I will have a chat with her about that... Because yes, if she plans on getting then for less than £20 a month she can get Sky+ and broadband...

I suspect she won't get Sky though...

No but for £7.50 you can get uber fast LLU from O2 if you go with the deal from the O2 guys on here (solaris or Zombie)

No, not if you go through them; as long as you have access to any mobile then you'll be OK as O2 will send you a text with a code on that you need but after that there's no need for mobile.

I've just gone with them and I'm staying with my current mobile on 3

My mums on some sort of pay as you go thingy with someone or other? So that would be fine?

And you then just need to get your own wireless ADSL router etc, pay a connection fee (I don't think her house has ever had ADSL), and off you go?

Yes - you get a free wireless router with the package so you don't need that. No connection charge AFAIK just 12 mths contract but I don't see that as a problem with such a good isp
