Hey all,

I am starting get a bit bored with my current music collection. I would like you to reccommend me some artists / albums to listen to. I generally don't buy Singles and prefer whole albums. See below a list of the music i currently listen to. There's quite a lot missing as i'm not at home to refer to my iTunes library.

- We Are Scientists *
- Arcade Fire *
- The Strokes *
- The Killers *
- Bloc Party *
- The Editors *
- The Futureheads
- Good Shoes
- Cold Play *
- the Guillemots
- Hard Fi
- The Holloways
- Kaiser Chiefs
- Klaxons
- The Kooks
- The Last Shadow Puppets
- The Libertines
- Manic Street Preachers
- Maximo Park *
- Muse *
- Paolo Nutini
- Pete and the Pirates
- Pigeon Detectives
- Reverend and the Makers
- Stereophonics *
- The Subways
- The Wombats *

There are loads more but i can't for the life of me think of them. Those with a * are some of my most favoured bands.

Note: I think i'm getting a bit bored of the new-age indie which we have seen an awful lot of in the past two years, although some of them have produced some excellent music. The Wombats for example is in within that 'label' but i thoroughly enjoy every song on their debut album.

Also, please don't slate my taste like I see on so many boards.

Thanks.

do you wear skinny jeans?

This is the sort of stereo-typical idiotic comment i would have expected and asked not to receive. Taker your comments elsewhere thanks.

For the record: No, i don't. I don't associate anythign with the music other than i like to listen to it.

Portishead
Mogwai
Tool
The Shins
Bjork
Bat For Lashes
Band Of Horses.

Will check out some of those bands, obviously Radiohead is already in my Library ;)

When it comes to classical music - I'm more a romantic genre type.
Perhaps give some Tchaikovsky a go?

With regards to bands have you given Sonic Youth a go?

Haha.

Spam, I know, but I just had to express my amusement at this remark.

I can't believe there's a band actually called Hadouken. Worst. Name. Ever. It actually makes Fall Out Boy's name seem somewhat poignant and intelligent.

why?

there are plenty of pop culture inspired band names, bands should be judged on their music - in this case, awful.

You might like Monoral (they're japanese but sing in english)
Samples from youtube -
kiri the sound track to ergo proxy which is where I found them
tuesday

They've got a kind of placebo/manic street preacher style.
