Hoping for some monitor advice here.

Been looking at a lot of different forums and guides and I still am no closer on deciding which monitor to get.

I'm running a 22" at the moment and I just cant justify a 400 quid spend for a 2" increase, I know I go up a resolution so I've decided I have space on the desk and the budget so I'll go for a 26"

I was looking at the NEC 26" but I've heard it's not that good value,

What worries me is input lag and ghosting, I'll be aiming to run it on a DVI and it will be purely for gaming.

I'm currently running a 8800GTX card but I will be upgrading this to the new sets of cards that are released shortly.

Other than the NEC there is the Hazro 26" but thats being revised so I'd have to wait for it, I dont mind waiting for the new card but I was hoping to get the new screen asap.

Can anyone tell me where I should be looking or put forward any suggestions, I'm open to any ideas on this.

Thanks in advance.

lol :P I hope someone replies as I was also looking at a 26" TFT. I noticed the Samsung T260 which I like, I dunno... let's wait for some replies :D

I've got a 26" Viewsonic VX2640w which is great. It's very cheap for a 26", slightly unevenly lit, but colours are great after tweaking the settings.

Didn't think it would be too good in games, but Im pleasantly suprised. I play UT2004 and timing and reactions are key, and this monitor keeps up with it all.

Not a lot of ports on it, you get D-sub and DVI, nothing more !

Hi

Been looking at one of these myself. Strange thing is, according to a competitors website and the manufacturers one, it comes with D--sub and HDMI (HDCP compliant), and no mention of DVI . Just wondering how long you've had yours, and if maybe they changed the spec later.

I've had mine for about a month and a half..

Just looked again, definatel only d-sub and dvi....Im using both and thats all there is round the back.

Mine might be an older model I guess. Its OK though becuase I never plan on using HDMI
