Well got to say good bye to the BMW, the wife found it to big for town/city driving, so she got her way and has orderd a Mini Sidewalk S, with a couple of extras, good price of £16500 otr, dont pick it up till september.

We had a Cooper Parklane 2 years ago and that was fun so looking forward to have a blast with a turbo.

does she drive a 7 Series?
I guess it would have been a 320i

Hopefully going to be ordering my new BMW in the next 2 weeks, I have decided on a 320i SE Touring, the only extra so far is the alloys I have added star spoke style, trying to keep cost down a bit so no nav system, but if the general feel is that it goes in then I may consider it.

Now the good bit, the car will be TAX free and hopefully a bit of extra discount on that, so I won’t have a huge depreciation, but I still what the best deal, the BMW website says it should be around £26,200 from the show room, but in reality is there any discount to be had from the showroom, I want to haggle still even with all my discounts. This will be a deal to change the car every year, and after 4 years I will have a brand new paid for. This option will cost me like £600 a month.

Option 2, (sorry for long post)
I currently have a 320i m sport, this is the deal, I pay £209 a month for the car after 13 months it goes back, that’s it, I have no commitment to the car other than keeping it in good condition, after 13 months I can chop it in and pretty much have any BMW I want bar an M3,M5(cry’s) so I can get a 335i m sport for £280 a month and again take it back after 13 months, but the car will never be mine. But the cost is lower.

The reason for the touring in option 1 is because i will be selling my ford Mondeo estate, so only 1 car in the house.

i will miss my BMW for sure, but yea she hated taking it in multi stories, and in the city we live in its the only parking about, her choice at the end of the day, i can have a new toy next year.

She has chosen Black, with Tan leather, heated seats.

I see your point - it's enormous. Wouldnt like to park that beast.

Seriously if she's so utterly crap at driving she found that size of THAT a problem I give you 3 months before your brand new Mini has every wheel curbed and at least 5 parking dinks in it.

She sounds like she needs a cheap banger not a brand new Mini.

I never said she was crap at driving far from it, she never found a ditch yet, done 2 laps of the ring at a decent pace and never had a drama, only one ally curbed on the BMW and i will take a bit of the blame for that, she just likes the size of the mini for getting in and out of the city, she loved her parklane more so than the 3 series, so shes going back to what she likes.

Or we could avoid loosing thousands and thousands of pounds buying brand new BMW's only to find they are 'too big' :p

Sorry we're not all l33t drivers like you Fox

We're not worthy!

Where did I say that?

Well from what you've put.. you're basically saying because some people find largers cars harder to park they're crap at driving..

Even you could park a 2 door 3 Series West and thats saying something with the enormous levels of epic fail you display in every car related decision you've ever made ;)

I'll admit that I found that Focus hard to park.. the Mini and my old Fiat are the only car i've ever been able to park properly lol
