instead of upgrading my pc, im branching out, upgrading my mon so my comp and 360 will run on it at the same time (360 via HDMI and comp via DVI)

i am also thinking about getting mass effect, but i have it on the pc, so no point. my attitude toward gaming will be, what i can get on the pc will be for the pc, anything i can or thats ment for console will be on the console. all this totaling around 703 i think. whats your views on it?

Definitely not worth getting the elite, huge ripoff.

Get a premium and GTA4 from the member market for £25, Halo 3 should be even cheaper than that on there.

So:

Ninja Gaiden £30
Premium £175
Halo 3 £20
GTA4 £25

Total: £250

Any particular reason you want the Elite? If its for the 120GB HDD its a bit overkill IMO. If its for the HDMI, all of the current SKU's come with it (Arcade, Pro and Elite). I would personally go for the Pro version (which can be found for <£200)

Also you may be better picking it up off the highstreet so you can check what Wattage the PSU is 175W = Newer, 203W = Older (usually meaning you get the newer revision that runs cooler).

I've probably missed some key points, but I'm sure someone else will point them out.

That elite is way overpriced considering it can be had cheaper. I would also recommend going wih the 20gb version (or wait for 60gb version).

Kreeeeee's suggestion seems best. Also this is my Personal Opinion but i thought Devil May Cry 4 was a better game ;D

whats the member market? and the reason i was going for the elite is that its black (theme of the room its going in so it would suit the surroundings), has the HDMI cable (as i thought that the premium didnt) and also the 120BG... but if you say its overkill and the premium now comes with the HDMI cable (doesnt show it does on the game website) then im sure that 100 extra quid just for a change of color is a little extreme :D

Also get the games 2nd hand, no point in paying £30-£40 when you can get them for half that and in great condition too.

think my best bet is just to go into one of many game stores in reading on monday eve after work to see what kind of deal i can get and also make sure i get the latest model..

my main reason for buying online would be to save money.

can one of you knock up a list of what you would order online and paste the pick?

games i want are:

halo 3 (loved the first 2)
Ninja gaiden 2 (loved the first hehe)
and any other you would reccomend.
NEED A HDMI CABLE! its the main part as without it i can play it on the monitor lol.

You save about £5 if you get it from a highstreet store.
If he's saving £100 on the console I don't think £5 will have him too worried.

I wasnt really meaning get Ninja Gaiden II 2nd hand (got mine for £25 brand new + extra costumes) I was meaning the older games Halo 3, Gears of War etc but then again they can be found for <£20 anyway if you look for them.

games i want are:

halo 3 (loved the first 2) - Members market, dirt cheap
Ninja gaiden 2 (loved the first hehe) - New £25
and any other you would reccomend. - Gears of War, Bioshock, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Call of Duty 4... check out the top 20 metacritic games for ideas.
NEED A HDMI CABLE! its the main part as without it i can play it on the monitor lol. - £3

Don't buy that HDMI cable and a premium is £175 with Halo 3 probably £17 second hand.
