NV to ATI who is gonna jump?

I'm tempted, i wish i never looked in to the chip partners though as they all seem pretty pants. :D

Would have but a GX2 worked out better for me (Didn't have the right mobo for the 4850's)

tetsuo I would edit that sweary If I were you.

That looks like the route I'll be taking. The last ATI I had was the 9500 and I HATED it, trouble with drivers, etc.
Gonna see how much the 4870 costs, upgrade my mobo to X48 and get a new card.

I think it's going to come down to 4850 vs 4870, but if the right card came along at the right price i'm open to anything. ;)

Switching, but only due to wanting to get a route to be able to Crossfire as I can't SLI and the price:performance of the 4850 is too good to pass up.

bit more complicated for me, having a p35 board. i want something thats going to be significant, a single 4850 wont do it, and two of them wont run very well on my board. i have no intention of buying another board yet, so im sitting tight. at least for another week;)

thats the "quip" for many

240 for 2x 4850's looks A1.

all depends on ya mobo:)

In this climate I would dismiss P45 as dual GFX as just changed its spots.

Methinks NVidia have taken too much time and effort developing the world's fastest performing video cards, whilst ATI seem to have developed much faster selling cards. Ferrari vs VW, everyone would like a Ferrari, but many more will buy the VW.

all i know is iv not spent xmas and bday money for 3 years because ima tight arse and dont spend nothing :P i have 650 quid from xmas and bday, and could easy add to that as im plastering a bathroom at the moment so im waiting for the big daddy cards to come out

I am going for ATI for Crossfire

4870's at first then hopefully the x2 versions if they crossfire

Nvidia are too dear when you see what can be had at much lower prices

Good thing though as hopefully nvidia realise they can't charge so much now as long as ati keep on their heels

Ciao

Do your bathroom as you will never find the "Big Daddy":)
