Turkey in europe?

The dirty cheating Turks and corrupt Russians shouldnt be allowed in euro tournaments, there should be an EU only tournament from now on, but then what to do with Italy?

Im kidding of course

International teams should just buy whatever players they want like the Australians do ;)
Germany's best player is Polish, and France's best ever team was African ;)

Last tournament our best player was Canadian, in cricket the most gifted player we've had in a long time is South African lol, I guess it's just the way things swing now..:D

Why is Israel in, is it because we feel bad about the holocaust or something, Turkey I can see, but Lebanon is further north than Israel.

Only Turkish players born in the European part of Turkey are allowed to play in the Euros. The same rule applies for Russia. Players who want to play for Asian countries like Azerbaijan must undergo an interview in which it is determined whether their outlook on life in general is closer to that of a European or an Asian. If this cannot be determined, they are given a bowl of noodles with no cutlery - if they ask for a fork they are European, if they ask for chopsticks they are Asian.

Fact.

I'm loving the confusion between being part of the EU and part of a "gentleman's" agreement of what "Europe" is. :D

It's going to be a while before Turkey is ever part of the EU - however it can be part of Europe if it wants to - not that I particularly think it's a good idea.

Success? turkey?

lol

are you laughing at your own ignorance because correct me if im wrong but i think our national team has done more since 2000 than any UK national team and considering we dont have players that earn 100k a week and arent considered 'world class' players i think its safe to say yes we are a successful team. Say what you want about the football we play but look at where its gotten us 3rd in the world cup back in 2002 and now were in the semi finals. However, ill admit that luck has been on our side throughout this tournament but the fact that our players dont give up even when theyre 2-0 down in the last 15 minutes demands some respect. So next time you go around 'lol'ing just think for 2 seconds before you post. thanks.

edit: i forgot about the world cup win 42 years ago which im sure youll mention..

edit 2: been on these forums for nearly 3 years now and always thought it was made up of mostly well educated people..the amount stereotyping and the level of ignorance just goes to prove that its the complete opposite..im assuming that most peoples opinions are based on the turks that they see in the uk or the ones they see at holiday destinations in turkey again proving how ignorant some of you are.

No, I'm laughing at you thinking turkey are a successful team :)

If they (god forbid) win this Euro Championships (unlikely given the huge amount of luck they've needed so far) they'll be successful.

turkey are hated in world football because of their domestic fans. I'd usually defend teams and point to the fact that it is minority amounts that cause the bother, but in turkey that isn't true.

Turkey aren't hated in world football. Just by a minority with brains the size of peanuts.

They're hated by all the the fans that have had trouble with them. That's a lot of clubs. The fact that they've done it again and again with no punishment meted out (as it surely would be against English clubs/FA) only exacerbates the issue.

That maybe so but it's still a minority, even if it was 1,000 out of 30,000 fans, it's still a minority.

I haven't heard of any trouble from any teams at Euro 2008, the Turks included.

Israel are part of eurovision. Russia are in europe as the majority of their population live in the European part, the asian portion is just barren frozen land :D.

Also russia still have a small peice of land sandwiched between Poland and Lithuania.
