Top Gear Returns Sunday 22nd June 2008

On a serious note, I did think the M3 versus Prius was a very clever piece and hopefully made a lot of people think a bit.

it was but in reality how many people who own a prius thrash em???? and how many people who own a m3 don't so while it shows a point its not realistic but then again Top Gear isnt't which is what i love about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Mmm, that's what i was thinking and expecting from a few more replies...seems the things that passed me by as 'average' were 'hilarious' and 'wetting myself'.
Hmm, I came in halfway through and that's always a bad thing, but I have to admit I drifted off and didn't really watch it. Was looking forward to some childish tyre shredding, speeding, revving etc but I didn't get it.

Not to worry, she's home during next week's episode so I'll have to find a reason to ignore her and this seems a decent enough distraction. If I can get into Fifth Gear as a reason then TG shouldn't prove too hard to watch ;)

For me, I think the best parts of TG are where they take super cars to foreign climbs, the challenges - public transport against super cars, and the racing they did in the last series (the 24 hour race). The silliness (blowing up caravans, jumping cars, etc) has its place, however it shouldn't take over most of an episode, which, for me it did tonight, plus it is also coming a bit of a tired formula. But thats just my opinion.

Yeah it's still funny as hell but I get the feeling they are really struggling to come up with new stuff - wonder if that's the real reason why it has only 6 episodes.

Also was watching some old episodes of TG and they focused a lot more on actually reviewing cars whereas the newest series are more into comedy effects.

The principle still holds. Whilst that was an extreme example, it goes to show that a smaller engine can be less economical than a larger one under certain circumstances as it's operating closer to its limits.

There's a common misconception that a large and/or powerful engine must drink loads more fuel than a smaller one under *all* circumstances but this just isn't true. Driven sensibly, such an engine need not consume any more fuel than a smaller engine and can sometime use less if it's not being stressed anywhere near as much.

WHY IS THIS SO HARD. ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS CLICK UPLOAD. WHY ARE THEY MAKING ME WAIT.

WHY IS THIS SO HARD, WHY DON'T I TURN THE TELEVISION ON WHEN THE PROGRAMME IS DUE TO START? ALL I HAVE TO DO IS PUSH A SWITCH!

I'm sorry I have to rewatch that end Fiat vs BMW bit.. "At some point there is going to be a hideous accident" :D :D :D LOL

That homosexual guy was SO annoying i had to turn over while that part was on , apart from that the rest was awsome. :D

I put the footy on about half way through, got bored:o

and JLC and Alan Carr? Surely they could've found someone more interesting than those two knobs. :/

This is the show that had simon cowell on, probably the most hated man in britain by the general public.
An arrogant orange bloke who thinks he knows about music and just slags everyone off, dresses like a **** too? You don't get much worse than orange and arrogant.
