Im sure this wouldn't be classed as a medical problem or what ever. :)

So without further ado to the internet!!!

Got this letter the other day and was wondering what you folks make of it...

Dear Mr Moore,

I have viewed your MRI scan report and have referred you to Mr Roberts, my colleague who specialises in the surgical treatment of this injury.

In the meantime, I will be arranging for a follow up appointment for you to be seen in my clinic to go through your MRI results.

So what does it mean by "referred"? Does that mean I would be going to see that person and that im on his patient list so to speak or the results have just been forwarded to him to look at.

My dad seems to think that its normal procdeure but to be fair my dad can be a bit of a spacker some times so im not listening to him.

Thank you. :)

misters are surgeons, you're being sent to see the person who would do the actual surgery

Misters aren't necessarily surgeons. Misters in the medical field are consultants. Consultants don't have to be surgeons though in this case I would assume the Mr in question is a consultant surgeon.

Got a letter with an appointment to see a member of Mr. Robert's team. So Snakedoctor, thedave11 and IdhDec where correct.

Got the letter at quater to twelve, the appointment was for 1:30, today!!!!

NHS saving cash by posting 2nd class or something?!?

Any who ive rearranged it for the 17th July. Apparently Mr. Robert's secretary was meant to ring me before hand though and she never.

wrong just wrong, junior surgeons pass their exams and become mr's.

medics always stay Dr, even when a consultant.
