Its a classic car imo and i bought it because i love them. If i wanted speed i would have bought something with big BHP and high potential to safely mod!
I dont drive like a chavvy nob, i am not intending to and i plan on driving this courteously on the road not annoying every fellow person i drive past by deafening them with my big bore exhaust and 7000BHP engine....
Erm not really... I can't think of any RS Fords which can be described in any way as slow.

By the way running without a cam belt cover fitted is not a good idea. So much the the careful previous owner.
The RS Mexico wasn't exactly a ball of fire.

I cant see the point of a Forum discussion (which is obviously used to help people and give advice) if some person decides to just hijack the thread and go completely off topic and make a pathetically biased comment such as his...
He obviously has a quick car as his sig makes out he has an MR2 which runs at 310bhp...

A word of warning though, I had no such cover on my old RST and something got between the belt & pulley & it jumped a few teeth with expensive end results, 'tis why Ford put covers there in the first place so I'm told.....

Not really, it was basicly a cheap RS with a Kent pushrod engine, it was little different to the standard 1600 Sport.
The RS1800, 2000 etc were the quick(ish) Escorts of the day.
