If you HAD to get a band tattoo, which would it be?

I'd have to get a Wildhearts Logo, and the Smiley Bones (for anyone that knows them), they are far and away my favourite band and have been the sound track to my life since I was 15 in 1994. Even at times of great despression, their music was able to put a smile on my face and help me through whatever I was trying to cope with.

I've seen them live several times and they have been outstanding everytime.

I think the place I am at my most happy is in the middle of the moshpit in a packed crowd all singing along to The Wildhearts, it feels like I've finally come home.

Valve

Wildhearts rock, especially their first album. Everyone must love the lyrics to greetings from *****ville and TV tan:D

Probably one of the numerous bands I was in as a teenager...

Hulkdog Cockbite
eighty4
Sealpüpp

et cetera.

In terms of logos though...Strictly based on aesthetics, not music:

Black Flag
Mínus
Miocene
Tool
Iron Monkey (monkeygram for the win)
Pitchshifter

Favorite band would be Nine Inch Nails but I'd rather not have the NIN logo tatooed as I don't really think it's that good; would rather A Perfect Circle or Tool or perhaps Opeth like shown above.

I've not really kept up with the metal scene but I assume Opeth have gone all mainstream nowadays then seeing as they've been mentioned a few times in this thread?

Last I knew (over 10 years ago at uni) they were one of the bands that my strange black/death metal loving friends listened to and the rest of us hadn't heard of.

Their sound hasn't gone mainstream but their popularity has skyrocketed over the last couple of years. Since they've been on Roadrunner they've been pushed very hard and now it's cool for all the kids to like them. It's the same with Dream Theater - they used to be a band just for ageing progheads but now they've got a huge and very young fanbase.... since signing to Roadrunner as well.

Yes, that would have been when they were on Candlelight. Funnily enough I now run a label with the guy that originally signed them back then.
