Annual turn your phone off day! Pff

I have a mobile so I can choose to contact people when I want, not to be available 100% of the time with no privacy or peace and quiet. People that can't go 8 seconds without expressing a thought or posing a question and simply must call you as soon as the thought pops into their head irritate the crap out of me. People spend so much more time on the phone in basically trivial conversation, save it up and make the call worthwhile. Same with texting why spend 30 seconds, or a couple mins writing a text when the same information can be passed on in less time, at less cost in a phone call.

At uni, on a night out for the first couple hours as everyone dragged themselves together I'd just get dozens of calls checking if I was there yet, who else was there, what time they should get down there, as people seem completely incapable of making a plan and sticking to it. I can say, meet at the pub at 7pm , and everyone could just turn up , but instead theres 20 phone calls, 20 texts and people turn up from 6.30-9pm and some constantly phone other people while they are out. Its the A.D.D generation, can't wait for anything more than 7 seconds, I despise it.

Mine is always on, ,although i dont always answer everyone :p

And 90% of the time its on silent.

Well my work's mobile used to be on 24/7 at one point and so many people bothered me that I've now simply developed a habit of letting people leave me voicemails.

So other people should be contactable whenever you want to contact them, but you don't want them to be able to contact you...?

Mines is always on, I think I've left it on in the middle of some flights as well but that's mainly because I just forgot to switch it off.
