Im currently selling all my Nikon Gear and moving over to Olympus and the E-3, I've been offered £1600 cash for my gear which you see in sig below.

Would you consider this to be a good price considering it cost me over 2 grand.

Money i get from the Nikon gear will go on an E-3 & a Zuiko 50-200 SWD lens

Used dealer prices I've seen very recently for mint gear:

D300: £759

17-55 f2.8: £620

80-400 f4-5.6: £730

Dealer prices will be higher than private but even if you shave a hundred or so off the above and assuming your stuff is mint or near it then I'd go for the £1750 - £1850 region.

£1750 - £1850
It might be worth that much, but it depends how he can sell it. If he put it up on ebay and it did sell for that then there's still ebay fees paypal fees and recorded, insured delivery which would reduce the amount he got back. If it was me selling to a friend or whatever, I'd probabaly take the £1600 although I would try and get an extra £100 or so first, but I would settle for £1600 if the other alternative was ebay.

Im trying to keep it of the bay because mainly the hassle of fee's ect, & condition is mint I've hardly used it much since getting mainly because of weight.

The the price i got offered was of a dealer that seems very keen to get his hands on it, well ive got back to him and said i'll take £1800 for the lot knowing he knock me down abit he coming tomorrow to look at it all, I'll haggle £1700 then i'll take it.

Also going is the E-510 & Zuiko 40-150mm these will be sold on the bay.

So all i end up with after everything is sold i & bought is

Olympus E-3 lighter & slightly smaller than the D300
Zuiko 12-60mm as my main lens, this lens alone is the main reason to switch to 4/3 fully
Zukio 50-200mm telephoto lens
Zukio 9-18mm wideangle in September when it released
And the FL-50 flash

Basically keeping everything simple and a lot less weight to lug about.
