Will FF7 EVER be re-released for ps3?

From a business perspective its a very likely prospect. That posted trailer is a rather subtle hint that something is coming... I don't think they would include it hoping for more sales of a deleted game.

FF VII without the FMV would be only half the game, not sure they can carry it off on a DS.
 
To be honest, there's no indication that they're going to make a sequel. The original trailer was a tech demo, and this 'trailer' could very simply be a glorified opening/prologue to the actual Final Fantasy VII - if you notice, it says "To be continued in Final Fantasy VII". There is not enough evidence to speculate that they are going to make a sequel.

Not that they won't, and if they do I will be extremely pleased, but I think people may be jumping the gun a little, much like when they released the original tech demo a while back.

I agree with what your saying, but I have always said, why would they go to all that trouble to make a tech demo like that? what are they getting out of it?

Unless they used it to learn how the PS3 works maybe?

Well, there's a large Final Fantasy fanbase, what better way to show off what they can do than with something a lot of people are going to be excited about? And they're getting extra publicity - which would have helped with their Final Fantasy VII Compilation - keeping Final Fantasy VII in the minds of people.

Just a thought.
 
I would have thought something as arguably profitable as a Final Fantasy VII remake would be advertised and milked to its full full full and therefore, I believe (sadly) this may not ever come to be released :(.... unless we are talking way into the future :)

As much as FFVII on PSone? If not it would be like downgrading the original rather than bringing it up to date, I'd buy a superior version on better hardware but I wouldn't buy an inferior version on similar hardware.
