Just started playing a Dark Elf Druid and quite like it, about to get to L10 and I am wondering what I shout pump my talent points into.

I hear a lot about Feral, go for that?

At what point should I add to other talents?

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to WoW, seen loads of guides but none really answer this question.

Thanks.

Feral is best for levelling, but Balance can also work.

I'd leave Resto until the later levels, if that's what you want to do. It makes levelling a bit harder.

When I stopped playing WOW a year or so ago, my main was a resto druid. I wouldn't recommend speccing that, it was highly frustrating getting outhealed by paladins and priests and sometimes even shamen. I'd get invited to raids jsut for combat res, GOTW and a couple of things like lifebloom, the rest of the time I'd just be shuffling about trying to keep up healing with the pallies and priests. Not much fun :( Especially when solo grinding or questing, could take about 10 minute to kill the weakest mob in catform...

Before I get called a noob and told to L2p, my drood was moderately equipped at the time (about half and half tier 3/4) and specced pretty much entirely resto. I had to work my arse off to keep up with the pallies, and it was pretty much impossible to keep up with a decent priest.

ALSO the game may have changed substantially since I quit, I can't comment on that.

Sorry, but the people telling you L2P should take their own advice on board. Resto druids is fantastic MT healers in Hyjal, BT and now the Sunwell too. We have 3 resto druids in our raids and we won't be as effective as we are now, without them. Their HoT's have saved the MT's many times during bosses that silence (Azgalor in Hyjal). No other healing class have that (priest renews barely count). Also, combat resses is very valuable.

All classes have their advantage and disadvantages. Nothing wrong with druid healing

Edit: IT's also not a competition between the different healing classes. Resto Shammies already won healing done on Recount. It's using the different classes and their abilities to the advantage of the raid as a whole. Not competing for personal satisfaction or to please a 12 year old RL.

yes imo feral is by far the most fun :) was balance for ages and it got really boring and was quite hard to solo, but then respeced about lvl 55 to feral and my word it was soooo much easier, being able to stealth, do loads of dps, can still heal ** self (espicially while fighting in bear form) it openned my eyes :D

The whole game is a competition. Like I said, if you're happy as a resto druid to get invited to raids just for combat res, GOTW and HOTs on certain bosses while effectively being told to stand in the corner the rest of the time, fair do's. You ever tried being the main healer with a resto druid in a 5 man heroic? It's bloody hard, even with good gear. Heals are either too slow or too mana-heavy. Which makes finding a decent group hard, because people would rather have a pally or priest as main healer.

Being specced and geared feral is much more useful, you can do decent dps, tank, still be able to heal and res/GOTW, and more importantly, its more FUN.
