Any PCSO's?

No thats using their detention powers, which come from the police reform act 2002, he is referring to arresting someone under sect 24a of PACE, for which there is no time limit

Could have some fun with PCSOs if they arrest you, when they read you your rights say this to them:

"I do no recognise the significance of those words and wish to exercise my legal right to refer to a copy of PACE - The Police and Criminal Evidence act."

I'm willing to bet most of them don't know what to do next....

:)

Thing is, nowadays you'd probably get let off. 20/30 years ago you'd have gotten a good kicking and be sent on your merry way (quite rightly) :)

..and maybe i'm wrong but I heard that Choco (chocolate copper) can only hold you for 15 minutes. So if his mates don't arrive he must allow you to leave.

You heard wrong. 30 mins if using powers of detention, indefinate if using PACE

They start at about 18k round here I think, called rent cops. I dont have a problem with them as someone else said, people make the wrong assumption of what their role is, i do think they should have more powers tho, at leat be able to cuff a guy if he's caught in the act or something

Cuffs are slowly being introduced with different forces around the country, have so far been met with good response.

With the salary, the actual salary is 18k, plus time and a half on weekends, plus a shift allowance of up to 20%.
