Just upgraded from a gixxer 600 to this K6 750 and im loving it :)

Anyone got any decent recommendations for exhausts with these stumpys, im not after all out noise just a better sound. I know the yoshi's are the one most recommend just wondering if anyone has anything diff on their bike and what they think of the sound, quality of finish etc.

Thats weird, I was checking those out on PH not so long ago. Looks lovely, congrats :) whats the major differences between these and the 600?
Im planning (one day) to do a DAS and get onto a bike and Im considering the 600, with the possibility of moving onto something bigger as I weight about 100kg.

There's a (relatively) new Akropovic stumpy which looks brilliant.

Keep meaning to get one fitted to my k6 600, but my wedding has nicked all my money.

In terms of other stumpy cans, you're quite limited (for keeping them stumpy). Most replacements are 3/4 or full size, which I think spoils the look of the newer Gixxers.

Ahh, the thinking man's Gixxer. Fast enough to be scarey, torquey enough to be relaxing but not intimidating enough to make you ride like a nun.

Lovely.

Best Gixxer in the range IMO.

thx for that norbert looks tidy indeed.

Ive been browsing youtube and found loads of clips, this arrow one has caught my eye its a bit bigger than the standard stumpy but i think the sound and look are pretty bang on.

As for it being the thinking man's gixxer i couldnt agree more, i did toy with the idea of going from the 600 to a thousand but i ride the bike all year round to and from work as well as the weekend run outs and it just seemed like complete overkill for those needs.

The 750 i have found is no slouch although it is quite an improvement from my old K5 600, i was suprised at just how compact these new bikes are, makes me feel even more of a lard arse than i ever did :)

yeah I have a k5 750. Absolutely love it to be honest - I'd say its the best bike I've owned, perfect blend of power and handling for the road.

I'm still undecided about the can myself. Mines standard at the moment but still sounds great over 8k :)

Currently considering buying a new GSXR600 but by the review i have seen i may be better looking at a second hand 750!

Gotta be a Racefit :D youve just got to own one at some stage or another just to hear it then get pulled by police then sell it on lol

Or as Said gotta be a Yoshi or Aka Titanium with a Carbon tip looks the muts ;)

Got a 750 K4 myself

Funny you mention that as i met a guy today who had a racefit growler on a K5 1000 and the sound was unreal, too noisy for my liking tho.

At least over here the plod dont seem too worried about loud exhausts they tend to turn a blind eye to anything but those tiny numberplates, oh that and speeding lol :)

Can't recommend any cans except Akrapovic ones which I've had in the past - however I just wanted to say that's a fantastic bike, both in performance, handling and style - love it! After I'm done with the TT600 I'm thinking of either something long those lines or a nice thou or a bit of twin madness....

Gotta be a 750 ;) you wont regret it!

bit neater lookin now as ive taken the rear pegs off, may need them back on depending on which can i get but for now it looks nice and clean. I cant recommend the 750 enough i loved my 600 but the extra midrange and torque the 750 offers is of such a benefit to my daily riding.

Now just need a few bits and bobs to tart her up :)

Lovely, bike, I think I have just decided on what to buy in September - thanks sharpygsxr :D

Scort.

Got a Y2K 750 with a custom built/setup full high level micron race system (it's got a Mille arse end amongst other things) and it sounds amazing. TBH you'll find it's more a case of personal taste than a noticable difference in terms of performance, most end can's produce similar numbers on a dyno when tested back to back with a generic setup. It's worth getting a power commander and setting it up propperly though, best way of getting the most out of your engine upgrades :)

Well ive fitted her now and im not sure what to make of it. Looks wise its great, sound wise its just LOUD!, its a nice loud sound but it really is very loud indeed. The twin pipes (top is titanium and bottom is stainless) have such a great quality finish, and i like how you can see the craft in the welds etc. Both pipes make a different note bu they complement each other well. The only thing that worries me is the sheer volume, idle its not so bad just a deep rumble but when your opening her up a bit its got that GP bike howl which im sure will turn the heads of the boys in blue :)

On the plus side the chav in me has also just reveived delivery of some nice blue wheel trim tape and some Suzuki Racing Decals for the wheel rims.

Ill get a good blast on it at the weekend adn properly evaluate the cans but i can see a purchase of DB killers coming esp with my working patterns often involving early mornings.

Will post some pics of it after i get her tarted up at the weekend as well as a decent sound clip or vid of the pipes. :)
