Sit down Richdog, take a deep breath mate. everything you've posted is pure conjecture. FACT, he's not spoken to her before initiating every action he has taken. Most relationships go through a bad patch and most are savable if you communicate.

magic as for a reason how is it possible to name one, i dont know you and dont know the context of the texts but to entertain you heres one.

Shes buying you a vintage ford, hes selling one but they cant agree on a price and its been shipped from the USA and they need to agree port fees and tax issues and also delivery details.. does that help ?

However I handle it, it will not be nice.
As for me taking the items back she already knows that as she doesn't require those items.

I'm just being nice not taking the main item back as it was a mission in it's own right just to get the damn thing. Don't get me wrong I would like to, but I couldnt bring myself to do that. I'm not that vindictive.

I won't have done anything damaging before the chat anyhow.
I'm presently "only finding out" if I can cancel the holiday (31 mins now on hold grrr). That's it.

The chat will open the flood gates and give her the chance to get out.

don't get me wrong, I personally think his suspicions are valid i just think that the road to where he is now could have been vastly different and indeed lead to a different outcome.

Why are you giving her a choice if you've made your mind up and you're sure?
Push her through the door, don't wimp about hoping she'll just fall in to your arms full of apologies and promises that it'll all be ok, man up or this kind of thing will happen to you again and again.

You forgot the part where he has to buy her a £300 dress to look good for the man selling the ford, the part where's she's making excuses to end the relationship so she can keep the car for herself and the part that she tells all her firends that she's very happy that the man with the car has called/texted her.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, however it's a pointless indulgence. What's happened has happened and all he can do is resolve the current issue in the swiftest, most painless way possible, and then take steps to prevent it happening again.
 
I 5 starred the thread last night, as well as blogged about how I felt for the OP (no one get that wrong!) since I've been there and done that.

I reckon Magic X should set up an OCUK webcam for us when the discussion takes place :)
 
TBH guys,

FFS. Trying to tell him how to do it, when to do it.

Hes got enough on his plate from the sounds of it. Let him do it in his own time.

also mate, don't push her out the door, ask her and see what happens.
