Trainers are awesome! Shoe weirdos untie!

Finally a thread i can be involved with.

First off, i love trainers and have been collecting for a while, I think i'm sitting at 70ish just now. Mostly Nike and Adidas.

Secondly, the majority of people HATE what i wear on my feet. It doesn't bother me at all because i do it for me. When people say they like my trainers, it does feel like a personal compliment rather than just a materialistic one, which in theory is all it is.

Also, NB are comfy as hell trainers. Way better than Asics. Asics aren't really doing anything innovative this year, while NB are still pushing out all the colabs and limited editions.

I've also just arrange my first ever appointment at the Nike ID Studio somewhere in london. I'll get to design my own pair (or 3) of a choice of Nikes (Sticking with AM1's or 90's) from a collection of colours and materials and then they'll get delivered in a couple weeks. This will be such an exciting day!!!!!!!

Finally, skateboarding and strappy lacoste type trainers are disgusting and generic.

Here are some of my trainers.

Some very interesting and very dodgy trainers on here - thats obviously only my opinion.

Good thing we all just buy what we like, and to hell with other peoples opinions :D

A couple of my new (yet to be worn) choices. You may love 'em, you may hate 'em, but to me they are just perfect

Oh, I've got no huge love for Puma over any other brand, these two just appealed to me at the time.

Chiz, NB might be bringing out limited edition trainers but they aren't better for running in than Asics IME.

I wouldn't buy either of them to look good (though Asics have the edge there too)

Gilly, I agree with the running. I walk past a running shop on occasions and it appears as though Asics dominate that shop 70 / 30%. I still find NB's comfy compared to Dunks af1's, adidas etc.

As for looking better? I guess we'll have to disagree on that one :)

Just now, i absolutely love my new

Not really feeling cans slips ons though some of them look horrible, especially the checkered one's.

Also wearing something similar to these:

Liking the look of the fred perry shoes but they look long and are a bit geezery for me.

Since they are based on the original Nike Dunk, but with extra padding, i don't class them as skateboarding shoes, even though technically they are.

So you have shoes that for all intents and purposes are skateboard shoes, or to take that less strictly resemble skateboarding shoes, and yet your hatred of skateboarding shoes is rather strong in your first post, calling them disgusting and generic. Does not compute.

Since Nike Dunks were originally basketball shoes, but have now have had the 'SB' treatment, i would still say they resemble the classic Dunk more than a pair of DC's, wouldn't you?

I still wouldn't these dunks look like skateboarding shoes would you?

Given to me as an Xmas present by an ex, many moons ago. They seem to keep appearing on fleabay. Can't imagine they are really worth anything to anyone without a fetish for old trainers.
