Buying a new guitar!

Doesn't it just feel like Christmas all over again when you do it?
Oh wait, no. Christmas is that time when I upgrade my TV each year. Hm.

I'm going to be collecting my friend's Epiphone Les Paul Goldtop sometime within the next couple of weeks, and with any luck and some cash, his Marshall combo too, so I'll finally have an amp again, after the Peavey was reclaimed.

Guitar #5, to an appreciative home.

even worse than my addiction to guitars, is my addiction to amps! i got a crappy 15w SS amp, roland micro cube and an epiphone special 5w tube, i now want either a tiny terror or a peavey classic....damned things

Same idea as myself. I'll be getting something similar in Florida in August. I know it's a bit off topic, but do you have any idea of the price of getting it back to UK?

Have you played the Deluxes? They have quite a strange tone.

I played an American Deluxe Tele in the shop here, I much prefer the standard American Telecaster. The Deluxe had a strange tone to it - definately not what I think of when I think of a Tele. The American Standard Tele was brilliant though

Agreed, I went to buy/try one in a shop and compared to the standard US strat it sounded dull and subdued almost. I walked out with a Standard and saved a bout £150
