I've just seen this on special offer (one week only) to pre-order for £29!
Is it worth it?
I ask because I usually wait for a game to be released before buying, but this is such a bargain :confused:
 
Whens it out ? Im not sure if it is worth it. It seems to be missing the magic UT spark.

Still having said that Ive only played it on PC.
 
It's out 4th July, thinking about it - it's probably reduced price because of poor pre-orders due to other formats not getting great reviews :confused:
 
At the right price its prob worth a stab, its already 15 quid new on PC and 20 Second hand on PS3. Im always tempted by the PS3 one but want to wait for 360 as it has extra features ? Plus live and achievements are always a draw. Plus on the PS3 Id constantly have to get a mouse/Keyboard out.

As far as I know the only extra features the 360 version gets over the PS3 version is the DLC that was made freely available on PSN anyway and the Split-Screen functionality.

However, I can't see why anyone would pick the 360 version over the PS3 version on this particular title, because the PS3 version has the mod support.

To be honest the only reason I haven't sold my copy is because of the mods, the actual game didn't really do much for me, and I've been an avid UT player on the PC since day one.
 
Why would you need to constantly get your kbm out for the PS3 version? You can use the pad on it. :confused:
 
Anybody got this yet? I'm having trouble playing online. Getting a network error. Something about port forwarding and setting up a DMZ server on my router. Thing is, I've never had this problem with any other 360 game before. Anybody got any ideas?
 
its not a crap game at all, it plays great, looks beautifull, but if your not into twitch shooters id leave it if i were you?, Its great for a no nonsense blast every now and then

I used to play UT heavily on the PC and you simply cant do thinks as quick qith a pad. If the option was there Id def use the mouse/Keyboard.

I have played the 360 one now it feels just like the PC one. Its all there, but some kind of magic spark is missing.

So why would you get the 360 version when you must use the pad? On the PS3 you can use either?? :confused:

Plus on the PS3 u get full mod support.
 
yes its quite the juxtaposition. I want to play with a k/b and mouse but don't want the option as I don't want the hassle/have no where for the mouse to sit.

Also the ps3 one has the massive problem of costing money.
 
I'm a huge UT fan, have been since the first, but I'm really finding the pad alright on the 360. Sure, it's not quite as good as a mouse, but I'm playing it in a comfy chair on a massive telly.

Really annoyed about the lack of bombing run and assault modes, though. What were they thinking removing those?
