I don't have £300 pounds to spend right now but I would like one of my OcUK family to take advantage of this if they get there in time. In Longton there is a new pawn brokers and they have a 60Gb PS3 in there for £300. So it'll have the card reader and PS2 emulation. I hear that model is very sort after and I'd like to give out the name or the shop but I don't know if pawn brokers are classed has competitors with them sometimes having 360s and Wiis in stock.

It would be a shame to see some noob get it. So if it's ok to name the place could a mod let me know that would be great. I just hope one of you guys can get there while it's still in stock.

I'm actually quite surprised nobody has taken him up on his offer really.

Not living anywhere near there I can't say I'm going to either :o

Just outta interest... where is Longton? Never heard of it before.

Plus, is £300 considered a good price for a 2nd hand 60GB PS3? I thought they had come down in price since Sony had introduced reductions on new models (although I realise the 60GB isn't available to purchase brand new any more). Just curious as I am thinking about thinking about getting one.

It is a good price if you're buying, yes. 60gb PS3s seem to be going for at least £100 more than 40gb ones at the moment, often more. Personally I think thats a lot extra to pay for BC.

Are 60gb's rare now then?, i have the US Model with the proper emulation in it :)

Me too but I've barely used it because I bought a 40GB PAL model as soon as they came out.

Shame nobody wants to buy it. ;) Guess I'll just save it and put it on the bay for a bucketload in a few years time.

By pawn brokers are we talking the place across from the post office then down a few doors near that dodgy herbal smoking place??
