TBH I think you'd even be looking to upgrade the 4870 in 8 months time - I learnt long ago there's no such things as futureproofing - live for today. there's always the option of crossfire down the line though.

all IMHO of course.

i've had my 2900 for about 9-10 months which it's still running all my games including new games perfectly fine because i don't use AA.. but im just wondering if i upgrade to a 4850 or 4870 it should last me longer?

Well 1 thing I can tell you is that the 4850/70 will hold its value a lot more than the 2900 did.

Gibbo won't be able to chase them up to get a set in stone delivery date until Monday unfortunately, looks as though it could be early next week. Gibbo or myself will keep you updated on the progress as we find out more.

A Few questions before i part with my cash for the 4870,
1st Is there any difference, apart from price, with the ones offered on OC website? like varying warranty, best RTM, for faulty goods, package deal and xtras?

2nd After reading TNAs post ive done some checking and all ive seen about my mobo is its pcie 1.0a compliant, is that a factor?

3rd If the answer to question 1 is no then when can we xpect the powercolour versions to be in, as they are the cheapest.

Just went and shipped the last 20, these cards went absolutely mad at the end of the day. The City Link driver was not impressed!

Everyone should hopefully get their email within the next 15 minutes or so for tracking.
