just got a HIS4870 and do you apply the 8.6 cat drivers then the hotfix for these cards and also never used the CCC before do i just leave all AA/AF at aplication controlled cheers,my temp is showing at 76 in CCC but 61 in everest

Will work clean or over the top

well ive tried 2 games now grid and cod4 with my 4870 and both games getting stuttering through game and even when titles are coming up,cant believe it

Did you run drivercleaner in safe mode to get rid of all the nvidia drivers?

yes cleaned it all out,it kept doing it so cleaned cat drivers out in safe mode with driversweeper and installed the fix cat drivers that came out and still the same, not looking good going to try running 3dmark to see what it gets,

I had this same problem when going from my x1900xtx to the 3870. Never got to the bottom of it so i just reinstalled my xp and all was fixed.

Currently there an no 3rd party apps..Ati tt etc, 2 ways but both involve bios flash, (don't panic very simple) and flash to an asus bios and run they smart doctor app ( You may need to force the flash in dos for vendor change)

2nd get Techpowerup RBE save Your original bios and edit the fan profile, simple and reflash in windows with Winflash...5 mins total job

well ive tried quake wars unreal tournement and tomb raider and they play fine no stuttering and run smooth as silk,so its grid and call of duty 4 which are giving me probs the 2 main games
