Hi guys,

I have a ntl:home 200 modem from before NTL became Virgin Media.

The problem with it is that when i'm browsing the internet the "ready" light turns off and my broadband is cut off!

I have to take the power lead out then reinsert it for the the modem to restart (takes around 3 minutes ).

It does this at all times of the day regardless of how much im using the internet. It used to occasionally do this - once or twice a week, now it happens daily! It is pretty annoying when your in the middle of a game...

Are there any other virgin media customers have this problem or is it a problem with the modem?

just dont let them run you through diagnostics :p I've had two engineers around to my house this week and they all said it was my computers/router strange that they fixed themselves.

when i had the 200 modem it couldnt cope with 10mb, i had to say the modem wouldnt power up to get a engineer out. now have a 250 modem on 20mb and its solid
