Hi Guys i have a 182 trophy and have completed 4 fantastic laps of the ring today. Noticed after my first lap that it had dumped its power steering fluid all over the floor. its back at the hotel and im waiting for a garage to come and look at it ( AA Cover ) A couple of mates are mechanics and they are sure its the hose which runs below the airbox. It looks like the metal part on the end of the hose has broken off slightly as its spraying out of there.

What shall i do, is there a quick fix so i can drive it tmor ?

I think to be honest its going to have to be a ship home job really peed off

surely there is a mechanic in nurburg itself who will be able to sort it? Probably extortionately priced though
 
Sam i live in Monchengladbach, about an hour and a half away, if you need to store it i may be able to help, also have a good machanic friend who should be able to sort it on monday.
 
Luck you were not followed back to the car park by bikers.

One guy that had an leak had that exact experience. The bikers blocked their exit and demanded that he pay for the clean up.

Would you like to come across a pile of dumped fluid on the 'ring whilst flat out on two wheels?.
 
Hang on, you did 4 laps and you noticed after the FIRST lap that it had dumped it's PS fluid?? Why did you decide to carry on and not stop?
 
Why on earth did you carry on if you knew you had no fluid? You've propably killed the rack and the pump.

Did you get it cleaned up?

So that was 3 laps with little or no PAS fluid? Aren't the laps really long, like 15 mins too?

Love the way some of you guys assume ....

The car was fine and checked for the fourth lap. Luckily it must have gone as i pulled off the track ( as it dumped it all over the carpark ) .... Not a lot i can do untill i stop and see the problem numnuts :p

Anyway back to the subject in hand, ive been on the phone to renault and a few other local companys and its not looking too good. Its being picked up by adac in a while .....

GUTTED :( oh and thanks for the offer of storage i may take u up on that ....

Sorry my mistake, trying to type on this german keyboard is spinning me out .... I noticed AFTER my fourth lap ... A friend was reading the thread with me and pointed to my mistake in my first post lol

Also i have drove it for about 5 mins just to get it out of the ring .....
