Assassins Creed - Cannot beat sprint tutorial

Am I doing something wrong - I've just started playing Assassins Creed and cannot beat the guard to the finish when being taught how to sprint. I'm holding the high profile button (s) and then the Feet button (space) and then holding forward, I do sprint but can never win.

Just wondering what I'm doing wrong?

I remember this happening to me but I'm not entirely sure how I done it. Maybe you tap one of the buttons? Sorry, memory is a little hazy

i dont remember you having to tap anything, i dont remember having any problems with the tutorials :confused:

i think i did this 1st try ! If it's the part i'm thinking i did it almost all rooftop to rooftop

He's on about the first tutorials when you enter the animus. Like the loading screens, all blue.

I didn't have any trouble on that part either. Can't remember doing anything special

I think if you hold the space bar down too soon it won't register.

Just noticed you said that you can sprint, just have to keep trying I suppose, should be straightforward.
