e2180 overclocking help required

Well i have currently got it running at 286x10 (2.86Ghz) with a Vcore of 1.325 under a TRUE and Yate Loon. My idle temps are 25/26 and my load temps are 45/45 after 10 mins of Orthos.

When i start windows i immediately get an error saying the Com surrogate has stopped working and as soon as i go to 287x10 my comp bluescreens on startup saying that IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I've heard that its a problem with drivers but could adding more Vcore solve the problem?

Have you dropped your memorys speed to stop it interfering with the CPU clocking?

If so then yeah more vcore is probably needed.

I have changed my memory speed but that does not help, i will up the Vcore tommorow when i have time to tweak.

what board are you using?

probably just need more volts. my 2180 wasn't very good and needed 1.425v to get to 3ghz stable (333x9).

I had it running at 333x10 with an AF7 at 1.4v but i might also reseat my TRUE a few times.

my 2180 needed 1.4875 (bios) to get to 3 gig .....

but undervolting it now at 2.45 gig (plenty for HTPC purposes) at 1.25V bios - 1.175V load CPU-Z !
