£111 + to spend on this rig:

I have a credit sitting that I need to spend, it is with £111 but I am willing to add more, say maybe up to £200.
What would be my upgrade options for this rig:
Q6600+ AF7 Pro
Gigabyte GX-X38-DQ6
4gb OCZ PC8000 VX2 RAM
8800GT Sonic (Xpertvision)
Pinnacle Dual PCTV Card 3010ix
PhysX Card
1x 500 GB 32 mb cache sata Maxtor
1x 320 GB Seagate Sata
3 x sata optical drives
700 watt Artcic PSU
Vista Ultimate 64

Is it time to upgrade the CPU?
I am thinking of one of the new graphics cards out, maybe the ATI 4870?

Where would the smart money go?

what sort of case have you got ?

i'd leave the gfx card upgrade for a bit let the 4870s stock settle in and see what sort of price they even out at.

maybe change the cpu cooler to the tuniq/thermalright ultra.
 
8800GT Sonic (Xpertvision) > 4850 or 4870 if you leave it too long you will be lucky to get £60 for your 8800gt they are already going for £70.
 
The only thing i would change would be a better graphics card (4850/4870), but if you are running your games how you want them, then there is no need to upgrade it.

I agree with the gfx upgrade,

sell the 8800GT now and get a 4850 or wait till the 4870s settle in price after a week or two and do it then
 
Thanks for the replies

The system isn't overclocked, so this is something I can look at, I want it to be stable though.
I use a 19" Acer screen; not too old and I'm happy with it for now.
I have a silver cheapo (£50) case, but I bought it as it has a 140mm front fan, a 120mm rear fan and 1 80mm side fan, so it is a good cooling case.

I'm leaning towards selling the 8800GT and going for a 4870. Am I right saying I should sell asap to get best return?
Will just have to decide if I need 1gb version, but I woud consider getting another card later as I'm sure this motherboard suppurts 2 x 16 crossfire.
I can stil go online via laptop.

Maybe new brand good PSU for about 70 quid?
And next think will be GPU on your list, 4850 and later add second 4850 for CF.

Also I would consider getting good case someday - it will stay with you for future upgrades...

Should have read "arctic" sorry.

Yeah, I know, will need to get it going faster, I just like having decent kit.
