Just a quick question:

I know the ST24 isnt an amazingly powerful car, but is it a necessity to have the TC to be turned on?

The reason i ask this is i have removed the ability to just click it on and off for the time being and until i have time to re-sort my dash out it will be a nightmare to switch on and off.

If i have the traction control off all the time will the car become a nightmare to drive when pulling away and in the wet?

Thanks

Surely if you've removed the ability to switch it on and off it'll always be on, as thats its default setting.

Basically the switch is behind the screen, its just a matter of me needing to get the button relocated. Didnt know if there was a default setting, if it is then no point in taking the dash apart to turn it off!

Not got much photos as its not 100% working hopefully have it wrking again tonight, and needs repainting and smoothing due to me cracking the filler but these are a few:

TC is defaulted to ON and you definitely want ti off, it's the most primitive TC ever, all it does is cut power to the front wheels in a brute force way, cant see it helping anything! I turned it off whenever i got in the car as i couldnt even get off my gravel driveway with it on.

you drive the car, surely you should know

who cares, you'll be fine as long as you are not lead footed. As you say yourself it's not amzingly powerful. Presume you have good tyres fitted anyway?

Whilst not the most powerful car in the world, and mine is still running like ***, TC certainly helps to stop wheel spinning when pulling away; and that's not with stacks of revs, just eager to go.

In the wet and snow/ice I can imagine it will be a benefit, at least it has been on my ST :)

Scort.

I have a ST24 and the TC is a bi**h.

It kills power so harsh when accelerating it can be enough to force you forward.

Worst bit about the car to be honest. If i could choose it would never have been put on the car to start.
