QUOTED :

"In addition to giving out HDMI adapters, EVGA has decided to offer GeForce GTX 280 and 260 buyers a little something to boost the value of their purchase, A 3DMark Vantage Advanced key. Available in limited numbers, the registration key can be claimed by those who have registered their GTX 280 or 260 cards on EVGA's website. "

Which should probably read, plentiful for future purchasers ;)

Its called helping peeps who may not realise this deal, its not for peeps who do not own the above cards or to mock. :)

Try helping someone, it can make you feel better about yourself. ;)

I'm still getting one but just waiting for NVIDIA or EVGA to once and for all let us know what the hell is going on with the downclocking/overheating of the cards.

Trying to track down a EVGA GTX280 *** edition but can't find it anywhere in the UK so might just get the SSC edition as can't be bothered with the pot-luck o/c ability.

Its nobody's business but theirs what they buy and for what ever reason.

If some of the users here were as good at helping others than they are at worrying what others buy then the forum would be a lot better place. :)

If people bantered more and took things less serious (especially online) then this forum, other forums and the world would be a finer place.

Mocking is so much more fun though.

And let's face it, anyone who bought a 280 needs to be mocked ;)

I just have a preference for nvidia cards tbh and I can afford it, I do not like SLI or Xfire so I couldn't care less about how much better a 4870x2 is over a GTX280, I just want the fastest single card. Let me worry about my cash. ;)

Why not go for the Asus TOP card?

(Just a suggestion)

Canny you just buy the card, register it, get the key then return the card under distance sellers jazz?

Sounds like a load of hassle you'll still have to send it back and pay postage which will cost £10 so you may as well just buy it anyway.
