Awesome! Thanks for posting this. I was thinking of installing a 2nd line to get 2x Be Pro connections bonded (MLPPP) for a total - in my case - of around 44 meg down 5 megs up. The only thing stopping me was the high price of a new line. Sweet :D

Hiya marmalade,

I have BT line to home, Needs a few inches pulling through and a box putting on

This will now only cost me £29.99 ?

Any rough idea what my quarterly line rental is with BT ??

I've been away from copper-lines for yrs and yrs, I want BT Line sorted, Then go with o2/be for as fast adsl as line can cope obviously

Been looking at SKY for tv package (hmm i find their site a bit hard to navigate)

Well i'll keep on searching so i can drop VM 20meg err i mean 5meg lol

Cheers for the heads-up :)

I think that BT line rental is £10.50 a month but aint certain its around that. I use voip for way over 95% of my telephone calls with www.internetcalls.com also given another extra telephone number. Use a Speedtouch 780WL router with bogstandard phone plugged in - ISP 02 of course.

Reading the PDF it states that the offer is valid between 22nd April 2008 until the 30th June 2008?

Thanks,

Scott C

Moved house on the 9th of May...wish i had know about this then as would have saved me paying the full wack :( oh well. thats life :)

Well i got home today at 5-30pm

VM 20meg had been out/offline/fubar all day so neighbour said

No contract to worry about with VM, And with 14hr a day caps now in place i'm jumping to BT for line Sky for TV and o2/be for adsl

Think it all still works out cheaper than my VM TV+BB (BB i use the term loosely, more like an email connection)

Cheers for info :)

Call BT tomorrow ;)

I used this offer about 2 weeks ago, got the phone line installed just have to cancel Virgin now and get Be and sky to come in and install.

I don't know if that was the number i used but it took about 40 mins to get them to agree the offer and arrange instalation

Dang that,

My only phone now after i cancelled VM landline is a pay as u go

Am i right in thinking if i call from a bt phone box it's a free call ??

Hiya's,

Well call took about 20mins

Deal is £29.99 new line install

They took £25 deposit

Engineer's gonna be out 8am-1pm 7th July (next thursday)

Happy Bunny

So will cancel VM TV+BB soon :)

I wonder if I can swing this even though I already have a BT phone line? Is the offer solely for customers currently with a competitor or without a phone line at all? Maybe if I mention I want to ditch Sky Talk who are on my current line, and want the yummy new line so I can get my calls (and "possibly my internets" *whistle*) back with BT....

Once I get my line I can get my 2x Be accounts lol

You're one sick puppy Loadsa :D

Happy connection is next week, Was maybe expecting 2wks or alike

Now to research how long it takes for o2/be to get me online after bt engineers been

Took me 5 days including the weekend :)

BT would have to pay me to use their services after the way they've treated me. Unstable phone line and they send me a bill for £543 :|

5 days,

That's good :)

Well after engineer sorts the line on thursday, It seems maybe 24hrs before BT update their system, This should then show my phone number as a BT legit number

So i'm hoping to go online (still dunno whether o2-business or be) and start the ball rolling for adsl

Not sure if adsl installer comes out or you install DIY style

A pain though as vm is paid in advance and debit comes out tomorrow too

Also finacee still choosing which sky package to get lol

So hopefully i should be on adsl and VM-Free :) around the 15th - 20th :)

Cheers for info ;)

Yea i rang up yesterday for a new BT line. Orderd a new line paid £29.99 for itfor unlimited evening and weekend calls. Me and the mrs dont call in the day time since we are in work.
Only problem BT said they will come and install it on the 18th which im slightly gutted about, Oh well.

Just rang up VM and cancelled my broadband with them. Luckly i was in a 28 day money back guaranteed. They did try to convince me to stay with them, and telling me all sorts saying things like you want get 8mg connection its an LLU line and so on. Told they just cancell the line.

Now i goota wait till the 18th to order o2 broadband cant wait, man im not gona have no internet for about 2 weeks maybe more :(
