When i was jobhunting i sent about 25 letters off in A4 envelopes.. forgetting that with the new postage costs i'd need to put LARGE 1st class stamps on them. Needless to say i was thankful (but also furious with myself) when i got a call from a company informing me that they had to pay the extra postagedo you put a stamp on the envelope?![]()
That must be why you have to keep applying then.
I didn't put enough stamps on a letter once, they wrote back saying that it costed them like £1.12p to get it from the post office and a said that i might want to make sure i put enough stamps on it in the future....
I wrote back with a cheque for £1.12p (i hope that they saw the funny side) and apologised. They didn't cash it but returned it saying that they weren't asking for the money.
What really annoyed me one time was I picked up a letter for my brother from the post office (cost 50p to release it as it had no stamp). It was a REJECTION to the job application he had put in to tesco.
Nope, but then again I havnt had a job that requires one (tesco alton towers etc assume you have no qualifications...tescos app form doesnt even ask you to write any!). Upon graduation I will write a CV and attach (sp) it to every engineering job I ever go for![]()
