Learning to drive, what car should i buy when i pass?

One question about quotes guys and gilrs, when it asks for am aproximate value of the vehicle, is that how much i bought it for? or is there like a list of how much something should be worth?

How am i ment to guess my milage!!

I always put how much I bought it for, as technically that's all it's worth. :)

Just run through everywhere really, I only really look at DirectLine and Bell at the moment as they seem come out on top of others with quotes for me. :)

Price comparison sites are quite good too as they give you an idea as to who is potentially cheaper, you can then often go straight to the companies and get it cheaper still. :)

i had 2 1.1 fiestas and a 1.1 saxo

preferred the saxo but the fiesta was easier to maintain

now i have a 1.4 saxo looking to go 1.6 16v

they are good cars if you know what to look for to get the right one

i would advise on the fiesta though

anything after p reg should be ok for a year whilst you build up some no claims

I always put it down as how much it would cost me to replace, so if i got a bargain of a car that was worth £800 but got it for £500 you'd still insure it for £800. Problem is that most companies go with market value and the price of the vehicle is just for quotation purposes.

no one can guess their milage but just consider how much you will be driving, if you're driving to work etc etc.

Get a M reg Fiesta si and call it fessie :( I want mine back :(
On a serious note its a cracking first car!
