Name that film!!: The space one where they had cute robots

Old School....film with a space station type thing that eventually explodes, had cute robots and had the main characters driving between evironmental pods like big/huge green houses type pods in wee go-kart type things.

Racking my mind to recall the title, but no luck so far....

the black hole from 1979 perhaps.

I immediately thought of 'edge of black hole' and vincent (below image) when you said cute robots and exploding space station.

Absolutely rubbish film but for some daft reason I remember it

The robots as I recall, were called Shouey and Louie or somthing similar. Two wee legs on each of 'em.

Main character/actor was Bruce someting or other.......

It's either a 1970's film or an early 80's one.

Never seen a sadder film than Silent Running.

I loved Silent Running when I watched it. I thought it was a thoughtful and emotional masterpiece. However, it so damn sad I don't think I'll ever bring myself to watch it again.

Silent running was awesome, the robots in black hole were "dedicated" to Huey Duey and Louey.
