I had this monitor since late last year, but for months i noticed a white patch effect on the left side of the screen but only noticable if looking at an angle and on a black background.

The effect was like Firegod is getting in his thread, but what i cant understand is that since i moved the monitor it seems to have gone.. now i only see a strip of white which is hardly visible. it was pretty horrible to see from an angle before because it stood out so much.

whats up with these monitors?

That sucks mate. :( My replacement came today, just set it up tonight and all is well. PHEW!! Box was still kicked to bits though.

I don't know how long the warranty is with these soirts of things?

Looking at the right angle i can still see i somewhat, but not as bad as it was before.

if i wanted to change it now i suppose its too late? i would have thought the warranty would be a year at least tbh.

I think all electronic goods are a year regardless... I think. But best bet is to get in touch direct with Samsung (they'll probably require date of purchase, serial number, model number) and see if they will replace it. Fingers crossed!

Cheers, i will do that

Dont suppose i would be able to pay the difference if i wanted a 24" similar model?

thing is, im not sure whether to stick with 22 or go 24", i dont want slug framerates or my games to look ugly. What would you do?
