Didn't need to do that on mine (Vista X64).

Just installed, patched and fired straight up without fuss.

Same on the Mrs's Vista (X32) lappy.

Sorry mate not true:( Gave system shock 2 a proper try, it's not scary anymore, it's shooting is pathetic and the gameplay is sorely outdated. Shame cus i bet it was great in it's day..
 
How come people make non-ladder characters? I don't really understand why the option is there.. do they get reset or something?

Ah, fair enough, I made a new ladder character yesterday.. a Barbarian.

Might need to lookup some builds if such things still exist.. I have no idea about skills and things anymore :)
 
We should run these games on a daily basis, I'm sure from the recent D2 activity on these boards we'll get enough games for people to play :).

How about keeping the game names to ocuk1, ocuk2, etc (obviously at varying difficulties) and using the password clocker as someone suggested earlier?
 
me n 2 mates kicked off against last night as a group, we wasted a lot of our lives whilst at Uni playing D2.....it still rules!!!

Lvl 14 in the first night wasnt bad either lol
 
I've been playing every day since the weekend, still a fun game :) I'm on USEast though, I guess most of you are on Europe?
 
Im on USWest non ladder. Can't be bothered starting again on Ladder what with the economy also resetting. Everything is insanely expensive and i just can't be bothered doing the whole routine again.
 
Wow, that brings back loads of memories... I shoudl really stop reading the "remember" threads, as the time sunk into replaying these beauties is far too much for a 30-something ;)
 
I get a message 'Battle.net is unable to confirm your application version' when I attempt to login to battle.net. Any ideas? :( Its a legal version so it can't be that.
 
Anyone heard of a way to increase the resolution on this? Just installed it yesterday and it looks horribly old and res can only go to 800X600 max which isn't particularly pretty. Had a google but its coming up with nada.
 
Charming...Went to download the original Diablo, from the blizzard site, clicked a mirror...then Firefox closed down.

Then suddenly I get a trojan warning, lovely =P
 
HELP!?

my cd's are fubar - so i downloaded from the Blizzard (free if you register your key) and when trying to install it asks me for a 24 digit key xxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxx-xxxx however the key on the front of my Diablo 2 box is 16 digit xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

can anyone help?

add -w to the target line of your shortcut to D2 to play in windowed mode. That will make it not stretch to fit your screen.
 
The first Diablo demo seems to fit my widescreen fine...don't think it stretches anything anyway :p
